The Vikos Canyon
has been documented by many,
including the Guinness Book of Records,
as the “deepest canyon in the world,
in terms of width to depth ratio”.
The total length of its channel,
which exceeds 32 km, starts at Bokovo,
near the village of Skamneli
and forms mostly vertical cliffs,
especially in the main
12-kilometre-long section.
